Trailing Split and SAE papers

Any one have info on the SAE papers regarding firing the leading and trailing plugs simultaneously, or the ignition map of the Cosmo that ran the split together in boost.

Thanks in advance, Wayne.

I am not on top of the SAE stuff but I heard that running the leading and trailing together builds more HP. I think Rice Racing runs his plugs together.

Do you mean "kill HorsePower" of "kill Engine"?

I will find the SAE paper for you, but yes I do run them together...and In my experience as in the papers and other lab test you do show a power increase due to higher BMEP compared to split.

Some people have found results to the contrary, my experience is that it increases power and reduces fuel consumption under full load high rev situations in both N/A trim and BOOSTED.

In the order of around 2.5 to 7% increases.

That's why you run independent split trailing maps...
