Something around 12 degrees of advance is a popular number, but I am sure there is a lot of variety out there. If you have a Datalogit, download some maps and see what people are running. Or search for some discussions about "ignition maps", etc.

will these parts work
HI I have a 94 fd engine in a 87 tII changed the front cover and oil pan to 87 also CAS is 87, am using Racing Beat front pulley with 4 marks on it ,MT LTX-8 ,would my timing be correct if I go by these marks. the tming pin on the fd cover is in a different place than the fc cover. thanks RON
