Stock Front Mount Intercooler

Hmm I probably am not the first person to think of this... Could you just move the stock TurboII intercooler to make it a front mount? Just make some brackets to hold it in place and it should work no? Also I am thinking that perhaps the scoop picks up enough air for the stock mount position, so would it make any difference in power to do this?

I've heard that over 50 mph air flows OVER the scoop. So you'd probably get a decent power increase, but for all of the work required you may as well get a good sized aftermarket core--Spearco, etc.--since there will still be a good amount of piping required, as well as some cutting; but using the stock IC is definitely worth a try.
