squeezing power from stock boost

I was up Rotory Power in gardena not long ago and was talking to one of the guys down there about producing relatively reliable power out of an FD. He told me that in his experience tuning rotaries, the key to maintaining the (relative) reliability of the car is to not increase the boost. He told me there's a port he can do on an engine to get the FD producing 300rwhp without ever increasing the boost.

I was interested in giving this idea a try, as i'm nearing the point where i'll want to rebuild my engine. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what type of port setup i should use to attain this? Can anybody post templates? Any other suggestions?

The key to producing reliable power (above stock) is proper tuning with the correct support mods.
If you are trying to squeez more power out of the stock setup, 300 is doable fairly reliably with a more aggressive streetport. But regardless or porting or increased boost, what you are doing is putting more air into the combustion chamber, being able to provide the correct fuel is how you keep the engine reliable.

You can hit pretty close to 300RWHP without increasing the boost or doing any porting. Full 3" exhaust, intake, intercooler, tuned ECU, fuel pump, injectors and you should be able to hit 300RWHP around 10PSI if your motor is healthy.

From the years of learning and research people have done I think the verdict on the FD is cooling then a good tuned , meaning fuel to support the boost. I see no reason unless a quirk or something for the motor to blow if you do the following right.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree here. I have my FD pumping out 350 to the wheels on the stock engine/turbo with all the bolt-ons and boost controller. So I know where I was in each step of the way (dyno verified).
First off, to get 300 rwhp, with approximately 15% transmission loss means you'll have to get 353hp at the crank. That is nearly 100 hp increase over stock. You can not get 100hp out of intake, exhaust (10 out of the intake if you are lucky, 30-40 of the exhaust and 10 out of the IC, that nets you 60 cranks hp max) and IC. ECU, fuel pump and injectors are not power mods, they are safety support mods. And another thing is you can not keep 10psi with full exhaust without a good boost controller and possibly having to port the wastgate.
