With the 16x engine on the horizon, will this give us rotary owners the new found fantastic ability to say "small block rotary" and "big block rotary"? It would be pretty cool.

Hahha, just a interesting thought.

very good question. up until now, i referred to the 20B as the big block, but i guess the 16X will probably be more fitting of the title now.

Uhg. It's not a piston engine. Just call it a 16X or whatever Mazda decides to call it in a production version.

True, but its a different configuration. Just like a toyota 4 cly vs. its 6 cly is not in the same class, so cant be called a big or small block. A 13B vs. 16x however fits in same configuration, just "punched out" to be larger now. I started it more as a joke, but at the same time, is valid.
