slight HP gain... maybe?

Is this reasonable or am I just crazy...

If I were to take off the belt on my A/C unit and/or replace my belt-driven fan with an electric one, could I possibly gain a little horsepower? This is on an '85 12A by the way.

the biggest gain would definately be with the fan. your AC won't bog you down unless it's on.

i'm gonna take my belt off my smog pump and install E-fan and soon as I get a chance to take the stock shroud off.

what kind of HP gains should I expect if I converted to an electric fan?

3-6 maybe. Depends on engine set up and stuff. Not too much though.

not much as they say, but every little bit together adds up to the big picture!
