according to Motor Trend, the next gen. Miata will have the Renesis as an optional engine. They also said that Mazda is saying that their original plan for a 4th generation RX-7 has been scrapped. I hope that Mazda is keeping this one massive secret, and dropping a bomb at an auto show, much like Subaru did when they announced that the new STi would be coming to the USA with 300 horse and 300 pounds of torque. it would be amazing if Mazda sprung this on the world at next year's NAIAS.

also, if anyone wants to know about the Mazdaspeed RX-8, SCC said that the japanese version has a different suspension setup, different driver and passenger seats, and a re-tuned ECU that gives it alot more midrange power and a little more peak horsepower, knocking a couple of tenth's off the 0-60 time. they also said that Mazdaspeed is working on a turbo kit that will push 450 (didn't specify whether flywheel or wheel) horsepower on stock internals, and that a 300+ hp. version of that motor MIGHT make it here for the US version of the Mazdaspeed RX-8. if anyone has any new information on this, i'd like to hear about it
