Hi Everybody,

It's been quite awhile since I've been active on this forum, and my own car for that matter. However, I made a little excel file to play around with some gear ratios and convert RPMs to MPH. I wanted to see the effect of changing gear ratios on my 1991 NA Rx7. I'm trying to find ways to keep my rx7 NA, but fun to drive. I thought I'd share what I made with everyone else. Keep in mind my calculations are only approximations, but give a good idea of the change in performance. I'm still learning a lot about playing with gear ratios, but making a plot of the ratio changes relative to RPMs and MPH made me understand things better. I couldn't quite find anything like this. So, I made one. Feel free to critique and provide some feedback. I also included sources on my excel file.

Could someone change the title of this thread to "Transmission Gear Ratios: RPM to MPH Conversion and Graphs"?

I am experimenting with drop box to see if this works so people can download this. I plan on making similar spread sheets to work on my car setup and if anyone wants more info or has question, just ask.
