resonated midpipes vs normal midpipes

Does anyone know what the tradeoff is in power between a resonated mp and a non resonated one? I have the rx7store midpipe with the magnaflow muffler in it, and it has quieted my car down significantly, but I am wondering what type of power loss I am getting from it if any.

If it is a straight through design with out any internal deformation, then any loss should be negliable.

I do not think anyone has run side by side dyno runs to verify any differences.

I've used a 2.5" edelbrock muffler (straight through) 12" body in the stock cat location and a 2-21/4" straight pipe. Surprisingly there was a large difference, but it's exagerated by the small S4 wastegate. The straight pipe built boost really early, it felt substantially different. The muffler made better power than with a cat, but the turbo didn't boost the same.
