Racing Beat Road Race on backorder... next best thing?
Well, I tried to order my exhaust system last week. I wanted to get the entire Road Race system from Racing beat, but the Pre-Silencer is on back-order.
What should I do? I need the car by the 4th of July for an event, and I can't even start up the newly rebuilt motor without an exhaust on it, and I still need to break it in. Should I just get a cheapo Pacesetter system and get the good one next year? Or should I get the whole system without the pre-silencer for now and run a test pipe until I can get it?
Sorry to burden you with my troubles, but I wonder if anyone has a suggestion.
Thanks
-Brian

Well, I think I have come to a decision.
I'm going to order the system minus the pre-silencer, fab up a test pipe for the time being and get the pre-silencer later.
If anybody has another suggestion that will save me some money but get similar performance and sound, I'd be glad to hear it.

I looked on mazdatrix. They have the standard racing beat set, but I had the store I was ordering call on that too and the header is back-ordered, unless mazdatrix keeps them in stock.

I have a catback I am gonna sell soon. Could take it off the car now and sell it if you want it. It is on a TII so it is larger pipe. Sorry don't have a header or midpipe.
This catback has removable caps on the mufflers if I can find them. I removed tham because I like it louder.
Well if your interested shoot me a pm with your e-mail so I can get you pics.

Buy a header from ISC, their header makes more power than the RB header. The RB header has a real sharp turn where it comes out of the motor; the ISC header comes straighter out before it turns in a bigger radius turn. The ISC header is also lighter, and it's stainless steel construction will never rust like the RB header.

I have used both brands, and I like the ISC header much better.
