Race Gas??
At what point would you need to start running race gas? i'm trying to build as much as i can without it.
a little more in detail:
-what does it help with?
-disadvantage besides price... etc?
-what kinda mods would require a race gas setup?
and would it require a special setup to run?
-I plan tp run a pre-mix setup. How would the gas effect this?
-gas milage changes?
-anything i missed? lol
wow a lot of Q's... heh

you can run race gas when ever you want...honestly your best bet is to search on here or on google.com there is so much info about running c12 c14 c16 toulene xelene (sp?) leaded unleaded..
Helps with (not limited to)
Lets you run higher boost
Burns cleaner and cooler (correct me if im wrong)
Disadvantages none that I know of
(its race gas)
Doesnt require a special setup
Premix. premixing what with what. If your thinking about premixing race gas and pump gas. There is simple formulas around like 1 part 93 octane and 1 part c14 with give you 103.5 octane.
hope this helps

Running leaded race gas will damage smog components very fast, such as O2 sensor, Cat-converters, and etc... Aside from that, it runs cleaner and more stable. The higher octane rating will allow you to run more boost.
On a knock sensitive engine, the race gas can effect the timing. It will also effect the gas milage if more timing can be induced.
