question for guys w/ backhalved drag chassis
what do you guys do for your front suspension? i'm thinking it's hard to get just 2 front coilovers from the conventional japanese manufacturers (hks, tein, etc.). did you guys just go w/ a custom drag setup? how much custom fabrication is required? also, it seems like most of the drag front shock/springs are too short for our cars, did you have trouble finding the correct length? for the guys w/ spindle mount rims, are they worth it, did it make you noticably quicker?

i use stock suspension with tockico illuminas and ground control, since the car is 4-linked the front suspension is not near as critical as on a stock suspended street type setup. i also use travel limiters to keep the front tires from dropping 8 inches on the launch. if you install the spindle mount setup you will be taxed with 150 lbs!!! not worth it to me. but on the other hand you will have a problem clearing the front FD brakes with pretty much any aftermarket drag rims. this is why i use spares. what i really want to do is take a pair of stock rims and have them narrowed!!!polish them and they look great and are legal.

that's what i thought, you'd probably have to go w/ ground control or something. why don't you just go w/ regular skinnies, isn't that what the other fd draggers use, like ari and ray?

you have to space them out .75 to clear the brakes, that in turn make the tires hit the fenders. my car is way lower than Ari's and Rays. i could change the brakes but the FD brakes work superior and i hate packing the chute!!!!
