putting 2 together
can we take the style of the new renisis motor and fit the 13tt rotors inside it to get a lower compression for turbo use. I like the idea of the 3 exhuast ports.

I see a few things that might make this a problem.
1st = renisis rotors have additional side seals that are probably necessary for the side ports. I believe they are there to decrease port over lap on the side of the rotor.
2nd = I believe the exhaust ports on the renisis motor would have a weaker exhaust pulse.
3rd = carbon likes to deposit more on the side ports.
Im sure there are some benefits as well, but I believe the existing turbo setup has more potential.

I can't mention who yet but it's a big name piston mfr.
He's one of the engineers there.
They been working on it for a while already, so i hoping they'll be avaliable soon.

is anyone going to substantial incereases in power cause they have a lower rotational mass, who would want lower than 8.5:1 than you can get with s4 TII rotors, the less compression you have, the more reciculation of exhaust you would have, the only real adavantage i see to this is for an na motor you could get some really high compression ratios, but you can do that anyways with filling up the pockets on the rotors.

compression can and has been altered on all models of rotors. CNC milling out the dishes for lower compression can be done (and has been), as well as filling in the bath tub with welding then re-milling it out for higher compression. ALL require rebalancing. The weld isn't going to break loose unless the guy doing it can't weld, or doesnt know how to inspect his own work. This isn't stuff you do in your backyard, it takes expensive CNC machines and qualified people who know what their doing, but can be purchesed by any Joe with some doe.

Like sbertolone mentioned above, there is no good reason to lower compression ratios from 8.5:1. Well, unless you want to run INSANE boost levels, but even then there is no point because there are other weak links (ie: apex seals) that need sorted out in order to run those insane levels (lets say 40+ psi).
Now though, I havne't heard anyone mention the all-not-so-mighty () phrase N/A
A nice set of lightweight rotors with a high compression ratio, let's say 12.0:1 would be pretty dope!!!
All this kaplunk has been talked about in dozens of threads before, so not much more to add.
I am looking forward to seeing these new pistons released from said company and see results of them.
