Possible to fix this housing?

Well I purchased this housing for $230 that was supposed to be in "excellent condition with >8k miles." The seller(Fsunoles06) won't refund my money, so now I'm stuck with it. The wear surface is not in too bad of condition, but the o-ring seats have severe pitting. Is there any way to repair this?

You can try to fill the pits with epoxy and sanding them down flush, but there is no way to know how long this would last.

The seller was shitty for not informing you about this. It looks like the engine sat up over a long period of time without water (typical junk yard engine). If it's not warped and the sealing surface is good, it's very salvageable. You just got to know the little secrets. The water passage pitting shouldn't really hurt much however, I would bead blast it to remove some of the loose material. You wouldn't want any debris clogging up your radiator. The coolant seal lands may need some attention. Any pitting there will cause leakage if it's not completely smooth. Wire wheel the sides of it to remove any pitting you can. Then use some devcon and a razor blade to fill in. Some really hi temp (500 degree) silicon will also work. Remember the housings really don't get that hot as long as the coolant is in them. This keeps the devon and silicon from breaking down from excessive heat.
