One method of improving the rx-8 power!!!!!
NRS has agreed to supply free of charge 2 full sets of 3mm ceramic corner seals to crispeed for the 4 rotor RX8 build for the purposes of testing. Firstly the engine will be built and a baseline established on 3mm 1pc seals. Then the ceramic corner seals will be installed to properly assess any gains or performance changes.
With the combination of ceramic apex seals and ceramic corner seals the 4 rotor rotating assembly will see a weight savings of approx 5.72 ounces at the extremities of the rotor.
This will definitely be a world first! How exciting is this!

No, they will have standard clearance to the 1pc apex seals. Actually they will have a hair extra clearance as these were made using existing tooling.
Right now I'm working on holding fixtures for the cs springs for hard facing.

^^ Fork men grasshopper, don't disturb the builder.... He's probably squeezing in some over time on this project because if he don't make it to Atco next weekend then we'll (the NY crew) be force to take action into our own hands and hunt him down in FL

Here are some pics.
Motor and tranny are mounted in position. The crossmember modifications, steering rack and shaft are done. Working on the intake manifold presently.

Looks very nice Chris. I look forward to seeing how you plan to build the plenum and position the throttle body(s).
