Just in time, i needed this.

This thread has been around for a long time now, I just told someone local about it and he posted in this thread.

If the mod would make this a sticky then anyone will be able to find it.

hehe, dig the pic of the hand drill. Pretty crude but I guess it gets the job done if you have steady hands.

Why haven't they made this a sticky yet? maybe clean up the useless posts like this one.

Do the mods not want the porting secrets to get out?

While the pics are high quality the work isn't.

I agree with the above post . I don't see much usefullness especially with the work thats been shown, the only usefullness I'd see others getting from this is the experts answers and advice. Probly why this isnt a sticky and shouldnt need to be.

it is not meant to be the ultimate professional porting thread. it is a very good thread. it shows how to get started in building your skills in porting. he is giving you a head start in getting the bits that are needed, which is a big help. i will add also that cratex works great for polishing metal. it should be a sticky but the advertisers won't allow it, it is all about the money.

Rx7_Nut13B 04-19-08 10:24 PM

Just remember on the polishing of the intake ports that you DON'T do a mirror finish, because that will overall decree the flow.

Same reason that a golf ball has dents in it.

But that Cratex is good stuff

How exactly does not making this thread a sticky benefit the 'advertisers' ?

because if everybody does there own porting they won't have to use some of the people that advertise here.

PvillKnight7 04-21-08 01:13 AM

do those people advertise on nopistons.com?

rotariesrule 04-21-08 07:57 AM

i don't go to nopistons.com so i don't know who advertises there. i know you are only 23 years old but you will learn that it is all about money with everything in life.
