new debut for promod

guys my t2 is finally done after a year she is now up and getting ready for some shake down runs. we will be doing our first run on the 6th of august but early numbers are good. we were picked up by TCI which will help us enormously with all the different stalls we will be testing. our first nhra event will be in illinois. just a little pics of the car (week ago)and the adapters how they look. we will have a couple of our chassis kits and adapters on display as well as our sportrwd entry.

Write me at ryan@rxtuner.com

I'll be at the St Louis NHRA event. Get in touch with me ahead of time, and we'll setup and interview and photo shoot at the event for RX Tuner Magazine.

Congrats on getting the car ready!

tranny issues plus sevenstock being so close we decided it was better for us to not go to that event.

Looks very nice. Just one question. The turbo looked very small especially the compressor. Will you be using a healthy dose Of Nos?

Yea, I was wondering the same thing about the compressor wheel looking small, then on top of that you still have the stock intake manifolds.....then I noticed the bungs welded into the manifold so I'm guessing you guys are going to spray the crap out of it. The upper intake wont really be a restriction for a nitrous car.

Looks pretty cool!!!

let's not kid ourselves, this car won't be competitive in modified class. this is a great car to go out there and have some fun, so there's really no need for a huge turbo and exotic setups. the quickest cars are running 7.30s, this thing will be lucky to hit mid 8s. even if he had the power to go low 7s, that chassis couldn't handle it. it's not braced enough for that much power so it'd just twist itself into a pretzel.

new rules for 2005 will make thiings more equel

6cyl "only" race gas now
more wieght for 6yl
smaller turbo's for 6cyl
etc
now you can run Datsun , Starlet chassis with a rotary engine in Modified

Yeah, those supras and solaras cleaned house. Small turbos? Have you seen carlos gonzalos's race cars? They don't have very big turbos, but run 40+ lbs of boost
