Sounds great, but why would you do this vs. a 20B? Are you really saving much overall length with 12A vs 13B housings, as aren't the irons the same? Plus a custom e-shaft?

Still great video.

Just something different i guess, unique is everything!

It makes good power as well, an easy 423hp at 7300rpm with the potential to rev to 9000rpm

A list of mods that were done to the car above..

New custom Precision Eng shaft & centre plate bearing support/gear system
New housings PP'd to spec
New lightened high comp N/A rotors- high rev modded/clearanced
Carbon apex seals
New modified Mazda race bearings thoughout- race clearanced
New modified 13B turbo stat gears throughout
New 20B counterweights
Whole rotating assembly fully balanced
Ported oil galleries & high flow Bat oil pump & relief system
Custom front bowl alloy antisurged 7 litre sump & custom baffle plate (fit most applications)
New custom alloy intake & 3x 50mm injection throttle system.6x injectors & Pipercross filtration
New Davies Craig 210wp electric waterpump & all fittings
Sidemount alt & new 2inch gilmour drives
New tuned length full stainless extractor system-complete to custom collector
New latest Microtech LT16S computer & 6x Bosch directfire coil system

Tuned on pump gas (96-98octane) to 400hp@7800rpm. Limiter is still set 9000prm. Potential for more rpm/power but current power is more than enough for my application.
Very driveable with plenty of useable torque across the whole rev-range.

I know someone with a newly built full chassis Rx3 that's in the process of acquiring one of those 12a 3rotor shafts from Jeff in NZ.

The car currently has a 850hp 12aT on methanol, but it will soon be replaced with the 3rotor.
