Muffler Recommendations?

Anyone here construct their own cat-back or full exhaust system? I was thinking of doing this, and was wondering if anyone else has done it and if they had any suggestions for a muffler that flows well and sounds good on a rotary? Looking for something with a nice deep tone but loud enough to let people know you mean business(not chainsaw-ish though). So probably looking for an oval style muffler. I have a couple of ideas on what to use but open to anyone who has had bad/good experiances and/or recommendations.

Mufflers for roll your own

I have a Dynomax super turbo 3"in/out. Pretty quiet muffler. it is not a straight through style, so it's pretty quiet. Don't remember the P/N right now though.

Great prices for Borla and Magnaflow. Look in the Performance Muffler section.
