I was thinking of having another engine done as a spare , How would the SCOOT six port , semi PP , street ported engine work on the strees as compared to my Half bridge , which I totally LOVE (by the way ) .
Also seeing that the LIM is very hard to come by , cant I have one custom made out of ss or aluminum ?.

Dunno, *CAN* you have one custom made out of ss or aluminum?

I'm going for fiberglass or carbon fiber personally, but that's mostly because I have all the stuff around and I'm better with composites than welding right now.

Also what about those roller bearings ? are they streetable , are they pricy ? whe can they be found ?.

a partial pp would work great, just don't drill the pp too big or you'll lose a lot of low end. just go w/ a mild streetport and small pp's. as for an im you can simply modify your stock lim, or buy the special lim from japan specifically for a partial pp. but the best way to go is to fabricate a complete custom aluminum im, since you gotta spend money anyway might as well get something that flows a lot better than the restrictive stock im. you can get a bigger plenum and a larger curvature radius for the runners.

I may go that way depending on the availability of the Jap. unit , but getting the ready made one would be a lot easier , what web site can I find that LIM on ?, do you or anyone else know the cost of it .

How do you get a semi PP with an extended P........do you just do one port PP and the other EP.

Both port types are different and are done in different parts of the engine , The pp is done on the rotor housings and the other (any other for that matter ) is done on the plates , so you can deffinately have different port types in the same motor.

You do realise that below 5000rpm, your setup (BP turbo) will have absolutely nothing?

Now you are thinking of doing a PP/BP engine? You are going to have about a 2000rpm power band....

My set up has a lot more than you think below 5000rpm !!!!!, in fact it is more than it was when it was stock , i'll be going to the dyno soon to verify this , but I still cant understand what is the big deal about having X amount of torque below 4 or 5000 rmp I mean I am not looking to tow a trailer or anything !!! , I already busted up a diff and broke my PPF so i know it is making some torque . I also dont spend all that time low down in the range , so whats the use ?. As for a 2000rpm powerband with the bp/ pp combo I dont know , I cant say for sure I have just started to research this ,but I hope someone who is using a similar set up will reply .
By the way I know you AJC13B ,seem to have a short fuse so dont take this the wrong way ok , I am not out for a flame war thanks,

it's true though, a bp/pp will have a non-existent low end due to such a low port velocity. if this car sees a fair share of street driving it's better to stick w/ a medium street port/ small pp combo. this set-up will already be good for 700+ rwhp. i'd have to disagree w/ the lack of low end torque being not important on the street. i always get caught in second gear where i can't downshift to first, wishing that i had more low end torque. it's really useful accelarating out of a sharp turn or going uphill in second. all the other gears you can pretty much just downshift.

Remember I am thinking of a half fairly mild bridge port , would this combo cause all those low down problems ? , if so I may just go with the street port & semi pp .

there's really no point for a bp. you can always make the pp bigger if you want more flow more intake volume. depending on what you're looking for your pp can range from tiny to absolutely gigantic, so you don't really need the bp. at some point your exhaust will just become a bottleneck, you're gonna end up needing huge exhaust ports.

Well... that depends.

But then again, I suppose I have a different application in mind than a lot of people, as I'm intending to have the PPorts and the 5&6th ports valved shut at low RPM. I've yet to sit down and figure out exactly what I want in terms of timing, but I'm planning on having the PPort really low down, so as to add shitloads of overlap. And you're right that you can keep making the PPort bigger, in theory, but the intake manifold gets complicated.

*shrug*

Anyway. Ignore me perhaps, I'm just a theorist as yet.

Here is a picture of my 13b-rew manifold that was prepped for semi peripheral port, i ran this in my fc for a few months last year. I had 1.5" pipes welded into my intake and just tapped into the secondary runners.

R-Magic had a better setup than this, with full sized peripheral ports, and only primary street ports, no secondary side ports. I think they used a stock upper intake, and casted a new lower with the 2 secondary runners going straight to the pp's.

With the proper setup, tuning, and fuel, 600rwhp can be accomplished i am told. At first i was running 0 boost and it was fast as hell id say like 280rwhp, excellant throttle response good top end pull... When boost was applied it would spool a 1.15a/r t76 at around 4k. Crispeed also told me that he would rev his motor to 9500 all the time, stock gears and everything.

Now thats what I wanted to hear!!!! , I will soon be running a TA51/45 with a 1.22a/r exh housing and a 72mm turbine wheel , I will be runninthis on a half bridged engine for now though .
