methods for prepping engine bay for painting?

I am going to start cleaning out the engine bay and sanding, are there any methods that make this process easier or what type of **** should I use to get the factory paint off?

greg, there is a line of products called POR15 that include undercoatings, paint strippers, sealers... they are mainly targeted towards car restorers and the muscle car crowd, but the stuff works great. they carry most of the line at my local V8 speed shop, yours should too.

so, you're stripping paint.... does this mean that chassis work is soon to follow?

i wanna see you on the track THIS season!!
