lowballers question???

If I take the the platic top piece off right in front of my stock ic (its the 1st piece in front of the bumper) will I have more airflow ??? I know its a lowballers ??? but I was just wondering??? it want hurt nothing will it??

You will have more air flowing no where. If you have the stock air box then it's going to be sucking in hot air. If you don't then you can take it off, as long as you block off the hole in the top of the duct. Otherwise the incoming air will bypass your intercooler.

The plastic covert is a duct from that leads to the front of the bumper, it acts like a ram air effect.

ok thanks ,, thats kinda what i figured !!! thats makes alot of sense, but what is the point in buying a intake(such as a apex intake), . If your just sucking in hot air, thats no good ,right,.
