Line Lock Question?

I was interested in installing a line lock on my 1st Gen. drag car.
Does anyone have a line lock on there 7 , if so what is your experience with them and what type did you install? Sure would make burnouts easier I hope.XX

It's a must for drag racing! Less stress on the brakes and clutch also. You can also use it to hold the car in place at the starting line.
I'm using the one made my Moroso.

How can I find out more about how these work? Is it different from brake torquing in an auto? Does it damage the transmission?

I know that the kit has a solenoid which applies brake pressure just to the front wheels, while the rear wheels are free to spin. With an automatic; it would seem easier to do a burnout since there is no clutch.
