Rafael "Rafelito" Rivera will be faster this year with his RX8 ( he retired the TII)... He's confident on a high 6 w/ 2 rotor... This guy is the master and he did it with know major sponsors and did all the work, etc.... For what Abel has access to I don't think he's that great... Either is Ray Lochead...

BTW, He ran a low 7 with an S4 TII motor that lasted 5-6 years... I have PR connection

I have friend from PR that knows him... He did make an S4 motor run that fast and last that long....this is why he is the master...

Falitos's old chassis was old, and from a webber 7.6 record, he went 7.4 with just an ECU upgrade. Falito said a 6.9 on the new chassis, VERY impresive, but that won't be a competive time either, on the the NHRA

Now La atrevida, La Sarita, La Ileana (3/4 chassis cars) those WILL be competive on the outlaw class

BTW - Let's not forget Dee's car

I agree with your thoughts, but lets not forget Rafelito's still running a 2 rotor in the new RX8 chassis car... I guess he thinks there is still potential to be had from that 1.3L.... I guess my point here is he did all this on a very small budget .

How is Dee?

Your right! PR guys do it right the first time and on a low budget.... I'm still really impressed with Jesus Padilla.. 9's on an N/A 2 rotor?, most of us will never run that on a turbo'd motor-2 rotor... amazing stuff!!

yup, the only way a rotary has a chance in hell is in modified/outlaw, due to the extreme weight and turbo restrictions on the 6 cylinders. even with all the slack they're given the chances of a rotary being competitive in this class is still slim.
