Intake

Can any one shwd some light on this query?

Why can i not use a std gen 3 lower intake on my 1990 Turbo 2?

I have looked all over the net and can't find the dimentions of the two inlets. I have seen a gen 3 inlet fitted and took some notes but other than it is longer (ie stands higher) there is no dramtic diffrences.

I do want to do the gen 3 inlet mod but i think there is going to be a big diffrence some where as the Soul Assasin used his FC lower inlet?

Does any one know of any sites that may have the info i need or have tryed to fit the lower Inlet them self?

From what I have found out , the intake ports are different. They will not bolt/ line up.

? I have done extencive reserch into rew engines and as such have Rew housings fitted to by 13bt.

There was no mods to fit these housing it fact it was a straite swap. When the engine was done running stock Rew tips and Bt gaskets on 4psi i was running just under 200 bhp. i belive this was due to the ports on the rew housings being alot bigger in std form.

The inlet was not changed in any way (even though it should have been matched). So how can the lower inlet on the Rew be much diffrent? the only thing i can think of is if the center plate is thicker or there is les take offs on one or the other?

I could do with a site that has the dimentions on it but if not i will try to get a second hand one and compare the diffrences?
