Plastic bag huh. Funny how some of the most simple ideas are sometimes the best. Actually my Holley seems to start better in the cold than anytime else. But it idles best when warm.???? Go figure.

webers are far superior as far as carburation goes... [ in my opinion ]less mantinence than holley , more tuneability than dellorto and mikuni , and parts are redily available!!! remember, no matter what carb. you decide to go with the bottom line is it will only run as good as its tuned to run .... thus, make sure you have a good tuner and most carburators will have excellent results!

If I could I would. My friend had a IDA setup a little while ago. Unfortunatly he's more into money than friendship and I was out bid by an EBAY bidder. Cold startup, low end bog, bad gas mileage are thing that I could care less about. I just want a 2nd gen that rips. I really want to do a write up on my car for this forum so you guys can get what I'm taking about. Maybe some vid also. I just have to figure out how.???

speaking of bad gas milage, what is typical for the Webers and Holleys? I only get about 15mpg in my REPU but I blame my gearing for a few mpg loss, at 80 I am buzzing along at 5000 rpm.

buzz, the 4 barrel isnt that tight in my car, dont seem to have trouble working on it, but need something bigger.

clearance is the only minor problem, will cut holes if needed, and use a scoop, as for driveability and noise etc. I dont car, the car is not a daily, is a 1300 (R100 lookalike sedan) with a ported 12A, weekend car, possibly running a big shot of nitrous or a carb turbo, if I can get a holley on and a turbo working with it.
