High Flow Cats on 3rd Gens

Do I need to upgrade the ECU if I move to a High Flow Cat? Here's my set up so far: Pulleys, Cold Air Intake, Catback, and Downpipe. I definitely do not want to do the MidPipe deal but really considering a High Flow Cat. I know I went over the three mod rule that I have to upgrade my CPU but I haven't been running rich or lean. Everythings seems to be normal. Any advice would be great.

Thanks,
Jason

Have you hooked your car to a wideband to make sure what your a/f ratio is? Becareful, as that it will not be obvious you are leaning out. You could drive a 7 with more mods then that, w/o an ecu under normal, daily driving conditions.

It's when you encounter any number of conditions - bad fuel, boost spike, cold air temps, etc and push the car (like racing or driving hard) - thats when you step over the line, and 'poof'.

I would get an ecu before the hi-flow cat. I know mine flowed much better then my stock, even from a seat of the pants point of view. An ecu is always less then rebuilding the engine.

Best of luck!
