Help with an Innovate LC-1

I had just gotten one of the innovate G3 WB AFR gauges and was trying to hook it up and get the innovate LC-1's settings right, but I couldnt connect to it. I tried restarting it, restarting my computer, trying with the car on, off, anything i could think of. I even re-installed the logworks package (innovate's software), but to no avail. I had the terminator plug in the IN port and the serial connected to OUT, and have tried all different permutions of starting the car, restarting the computer, plugging in the gauge etc.

I'm trying to connect to it thru a USB-to-serial adapter, and have done it before with the same adapter (the one for sale at diyautotune.com) and same computer. I could connect to my Megasquirt at any time while doing this, so i dont think it was a problem with my computer or the adapter. Any suggestions or ideas that could help?

I also posted up on the innovate forums, but they seem a bit slow compared to here, and after a couple days there havent been any replys

yea, I posted there as well, but the only response i've gotten so far was to plug the terminator plug into the IN wire... which i did. That forum tends to move at a much slower pace than over here anyway
