Fuel system Q's

What are the function of injectors? how much do new ones cost?
WHY would you need to upgrade or get "new" injectors after a big upgrade such as a Front mount? Thanks in advance.

To precisely meter fuel the engine needs with the amount of air coming in.

about $150 - $170 new. Lot cheaper used and you can have them professionally cleaned.

Getting a FMIC doesn't mean you have to get bigger injectors. If you have done the upgrade leading up to the FMIC then bigger injectors will help cause with the FMIC you are now getting more air in and the injectors duty cycle are maxed. The only way to get more fuel in are either change the injectors you already have or by adding more.
