fuel system

just had a question guys... how much would a full fuel system, braided lines and all cost?

my friend with a supra is getting a single turbo.... well the shop is trying to charge him 950 dollars for the fuel system.... and that is not including rails, injectors, an fpr, or fuel pumps... so really only the lines and fittings correct?... sounds like a bit much doesn't it..... considering this is just the parts.... to install everything they are charging another 500 (plus an additional 250 to drop the fuel tank(he's got a system, and they didn't want to take it out))

also, they are charging him 60 bucks for header wrap, and 40 to install it....

charged 225 for a stainless steel flange to be welded onto the dp

anyway lots of bs... he was quoted 1500 to install the kit (way to much... i told i would have helped him do it for dinner!) anyway the tab is up to like $4000 now.... which really sucks cause that is what titan motorsports quoted him installed and fully tuned.....

man i'm glad i do all the own work on my car.....

just wondering what you think it would cost to do a full fuel lines and fittings....

harrison

ps... 90 dollars for the oil catch can lines... and 80 for spark plugs.... anyone know what charge plugs are, cause they charged him 80 for those too....lol...

Someone is getting bent over...
-6/-8 SS AN is line $10 - $15 per foot.  Single run from rear is like 20' to 25', which is under $400 for the hose itself.  Labor should be about 2 - 3 ours for a competent shop, so multiply their shop rate.  Titan Motorsports is one of the "premier" Supra shops in the U.S. - why is your friend insisting on them doing the work?  I see these guys bragging how they have the fastest Supra on non-slicks all over the magazines - someone gotta pay for the fancy ads.

thats the thing... he didn't take it to titan.... he took it to another local place ( i live in orlando and titan is right down the street) because he wanted to save some money.. titan quoted him 4000 and he wanted to save some money... now he has to pay the same amount, but it sucks cause for that much he would rather have taken it to titan.....

kinda like if i took my 7 to a local shop here instead of driving down to pettit... but then it ended up being as much as if i would have taken it to pettit... it would suck, cause i would rather have taken it to pettit since i know they are so good...

damn... that make sense? lol
