Question Fuel Rail on a Turbo II engine

Will a primary 3rd gen Rail, fit on an 88 Turbo II motor?

I have an 88 TII motor, and a 95 3rd gen Manifold. I am in need of injectors and rails, and was wondering if I can use the complete system from a 3rd gen?

My guess is the Secondary or modified secondary is just a bolt on to the manifold, so this should not be an issue. the primary, however, goes onto the engine, and so, I do not know if it is a straight forward install or if it can even be used.

any help would be greatly appreciated

David

Tell me if i'm an idiot, but can't you use the '88 primary rail and injectors? Or doesn't it fit under the 3rd gen manifold or something?

Your an idiot J/K

Yes I think that will work for a stock set up. However, the rail that I am looking at has been modified to accept 850CC injectors. This is something that I do not believe can be set up on a stock primary rail.

If the stock FC rail will fit and you want to run larger injectors than 720s then you can get a modified rail from www.k2rd.com to fit up to 1600cc injectors. I believe the 850s will fit too, but just contact them to be sure.

the 850 will fit you just need a different O-ring to go in there. It's a nice rail. I've got one, with 1600's
