First time to the strip with my stock fd

Well, i went to island dragway the other night. My first two runs were shitty so arent even worth posting. During my 3rd run, my boost sensor hose blew off after the end of 1st gear So I finally figured out what the problem was (thank god i read that post last week about the boost sensor) After i secured the hose I ran a couple of more times and got this as my best:

60' 2.20

330' 5.97

1/8' 9.11

MPH 79.07

1000' 11.77

1/4 14.02

MPH 99.41

So what do u guys think? It was pretty humid out and the temp was about 65 degrees ( There was some fog). Also, that time was done with lots of wheel spin through first. I also forgot to drop some air in my tires. And i have NO mods at all...for now

Some guy was telling me about that place the other day. I'd like to go there and check it out some time and get some runs in before the winter.

well, i wouldnt recommend going there. U cant get any good traction off the line. When i ran my supra at e-town, i had much better luck with traction. It must be that clay they lay down in e-town or something. I am never going back to island. The only good thing i could say is that u can run like 15 times if u want. E-town u are lucky to get 3 runs in.

I say you did an excellant job with a stock FD. If you take 0.2 off that 60 ft then you will be right around the magazine time of 13.8 which means you are doing a good job of driving. Now just start modifying the car so you can get even better ETs.

yea, i thought i did pretty well. I just missed high 13's. I guess if it was cooler out and i let some air pressure out of my tires, i would have been there. Also, those times suggest that my fd is running perfect right? I have no boost gauge yet so i have no idea if im getting the right boost pattern. Let me know

I'd have no complaints if that were my car.
