Fd Mods...

how much boost can you push on a stock ecu..if i have a hks intake, dp,mp, exhaust, BOV, blitz dual boost controller, would i overboost my motor resulting in blowing it up..how much modifications can one do before it needs to get a aftermarket ECU.. do you guys think with the mods listed above do i need an aftermarket ECU or anything else to help balance my air fuel ratio......

You cannot go over 10 psi with the stock ecu. You should not run a midpipe on the stock ecu (even though some people do, but they're playing russian roulette everytime they drive..).

No offense but these basic questions have been discussed countless times. Please read through the 3rd gen forum and use the search function.

All cars are different. Some people have been able to run 12 psi on stock ecu safely, but since you are going with an open exhaust there is a chance to have a boost spike, which can blow up your engine.

I think it would be best to get an ecu if you are planing to run over 10 psi.
