Experiences with FJO and Alamo Motorsports (Wideband o2 Sensor)

Hey all, just thought I'd share some experiences with you on our purchase of an FJO wideband unit from Alamo Motorsports in Florida.

A week or so ago, I called Alamo up and ordered a unit that was said to be in stock, but it wasn't. The unit shipped 4 days later... not a HUGE deal, but I did have to pay for 3 day shipping on something that would have gotten to me in the same time with ground had they been in stock like I was told.

Yesterday, it arrived. I was so psyched. I had ordered the wideband controller with RPM and AUX inputs, Red LED display and RPM pickup clamp. I opened the beatup Edelbrock box that the thing showed up in and everything seemed in order... it was like Christmas man! We finally have a WIDEBAND!!!!!

Ok, inspection time. I dump the contents out and find that the LED display is missing. I immediately called Alamo to let them know. Within 10 minutes Fred from FJO in Canada had called me to ask some questions... we went over the standard serial number questions, package condition questions, yadda yadda yadda.

In the end, Fred said that the unit left FJO with an LED display in it. Fred said that they are commited to Customer Satisfaction and that I would have an LED display by the end of the week. I was extremely pleased with this news.

Today, I get an email from Alamo stating that I had to file a claim with UPS and take it up with them if I wanted an LED display... basically telling me to go jump in a lake. I immediately called Fred and left a message with him. Fred is sending me an LED display, out of FJO's pocket, because Alamo refused to deal with their customer.

I am EXTREMELY impressed with FJO and their customer service. Fred is a great guy. I think that Alamo could learn a thing or two about customer service, especially when you are spending over $1000 on something.

FJO rocks.
Alamo needs a refresher course in customer service.

FJO Followed through. They sent me an LED display, 3 day UPS. He got it to me before the weekend, just like promised.

FJO has fantastic service, I can't wait to try this SOB out

Now I need to shove my foot up Alamo Motorsport's *** and get them to right their wrong... or something like that... I guess the next step, according to them, is to contact UPS and blame them for stealing the LED display... whatever.
