Expectations....

First, pardon my ignorance... although I've owned my RX for about 4 1/2 years, I don't know much and am basically a complete newbie....

Anyway, I've got a '94 touring... I bought the car with HKS intake and catback...

since then, an ATR dp, RP pulley, stage 2 M2 ecu, eibach pro springs, silicon hose job, and removed AST have made their way to the car....

Anyway, last dyno run showed 275 RWHP and 245 rwtq. I've been told it could be higher except I take in a lot of heat with my current intake, and that it's possible that the exhaust is a little restrictive...

I went for the first time to the drags (Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ) a couple weeks ago...

as you would expect, R/T's sucked (except 1 -- .596... my others were .99x).

Couldn't launch worth a damn -- spun the wheels the first run, bogged the second, and spun on the third (but not nearly as much)....

60' times were 2.1xxx, 2.6xxx and 2.6xxx, respectively
1/4 miles were: 13.8xx@102.x, 14.2@105.x, and 13.9x @ 106.xx

(btw: bounced the rev limiter in the first run -- was so surprised at my wheelspin -- actually had to drive to keep it straight-- plus, the redline hit faster than I expected)

What should I expect as far as:
1. dyno numbers (assuming I did something with heat in intake and get the exhaust checked out)... m2performance thinks around 295 rwhp

2. 1/4 times... if I'm getting almost 107mph at the deep end, then most of my problem must be at the launch...

incidentally, I ran my times on pirelli p7000 supersports at 32psi and a full tank of gas....

oh -- I don't intend this car to be a drag car only -- I actually have also taken it to Watkins Glen and plan on driving at other road courses as well....

What do you think? Thanks for the help!

Aaron

you have enough power for mid 12's. i suggest investing in a set of nitto 555r's. that will get you sub 2.00 60FT times. if you want to get a good 60FT on street tires. you have to slip and burn the clutch......... clutches are expensive.... so i just drop the clutch and get race tires
