Exhaust question - Racing Beat Duals
I bought my car from Washington State 5 years ago with the RB dual tip exahust on it. I am looking to maximize my potential power while still keeping my car relatively quiet (for a HBP rx7). My ideal goal is to crack 500RWHP with a car that won't wake up the neighborhood in the OTHER subdivision and still keep my creature comforts of AC, PS, and Cruise as I have now.
It appears the exhaust may be the main barrier in my way however, before I shell out more money I want to get a few opinions here.
I have a 3" rx7 store resonated straight through MP. Downpipe is the ASPEC 500r downpipe. Catback is the 3" dual tip RB exhaust. Car is nice a quiet with very little to no drone on the highway. I am not sure if my RB exhaust is the Baffled Version or the straight through Ypipe version. So I guess there are really two questions here.
How can I tell what generation of the RBduals that I have for Flow?
If they are of the recent Ypipe flow, should I be concerned about being able to hit my goal?
IF they are not, is there a suitable Cat back that has a nice RB comparable sound with the performance I am looking for?
I have gone through and searched a number of threads on this. Of course most will say just go buy a watermellon shooter and call it day, but that wont work for the build and the car I want. Thoughts from any of you who have tested anumber of exhaust systems?

I have RB duals with ported twins and I also get hardly any drone. I think if you're NOT running any kind of cat and it's still relatively quiet, you likely have the baffled version.
Just a guess tho because when I tried to sneak in a midpipe (even with the twins), my car sounded ANGRY. Sorry I can't help ya ID the difference. Maybe contact RB?

Called RB. They stated that the Duals I have are no different than the version they have on their website to date outside of polished stainless completely etc.
So the next question is... Are my expectations out of whack to expect 500RWHP with a HBP motor and 3" downpipe, rx7store resonated midpipe, and RB 3" exhaust. I may end up talking to a custom exhaust shop as well but if this is my last issue, I want to get it taken care of before May.
