Question Exhaust gaskets.

This is just a general exhaust question, but will a cork or paper type gasket work on an exhaust system? Will it go up in flames, or will it disintigrate from the heat. Or will it last. I don't know what a standard exhaust gasket is made out of and to save some money I was going to make my own.

Made from metal. The ones on my TII are made from a few sheets of metal. Cost over 20 bucks. Heavy duty stuff.

Remember, the exhaust gases that leave a rotary are higher than a pistion engine. Serious heat
