Exhaust deffusers

It it worth removing the deffusers ? How much hp gain is it roughly his is on a 6port turbo!

I think you would gain more turbulence and performance loss than gain.

Furthermore, I think its possible that you would introduce more heat into the water jacket.

You might be able to use turbo diffusers for a performance gain but really you would have to disassemble the engine to easily swap them out and to make sure you do not introduce any foreign objects or crud.

Its possible to grind out the NA specific parts of the diffuser - but again, you will need to disassemble to get it done - not to mention that the exhaust diffusers are very hard to grind on. I don't know what they are made of - but they are tough.

In the end, I don't think any of that **** is worth it.

Leave them in there. Leave them alone. That's what I would do.

The best way is to remove the entire exhaust sleeve and install sleeves off a turbo motor. I've seen rotor housings melt when run with no sleeve whatsoever. Unfortunately you have to disassemble the motor to get to the roll pins that hold the sleeve in.

I usually tap them for a small bolt and then use a slide hammer to pull them out.
