If your ECU doesn't have a provision for a boost controller then you should get a boost controller, unless you want to run whatever boost your wastegate limits you to. Besides the ECU there's not much electronic stuff to get. Just make sure that you have good gauges and injectors.

You dont really need a new ecu, if you want the go fast for cheap mods, get a hks aic, and an fcd. Find a used aic, cuz new they are $$$. FCD's are a dime a dozen. And that is the only stuff you really need to get, if you want a electronic boost controller, you can get that, optional, if you want haltech, scratch the fcd/aic/boost controller, and that does it all.

yeah sure take this route if you have had good luck playing with fire in the past, some people have no problems when playing with fire, but usually people get burnt.

It is possible to run it 95% with things like FCD and AIC's but if you wanna to do it properly and not kill your engine from lean out in a hurry, then use the likes of a Haltech E6K or Wolf or similar aftermarket efi ecu.

alot of people go the aic way and are succesfull doing so. the only reason im not going the aic route is because this is a long term project. i might as well add in a haltech.

uuugh, we've had this talk before. I know haltech is super duper, hell, i have one now. But when your not going insane, or even if you are... AIC will do the job. I never saw you make fun of soul assasin when he had aic...

I made shitloads of power with the aic, and i still think they are great! Haltech is good too, but it is not for everyone.
