EGT's VS idel, cruise, and boost

Ok guys, go I've had an egt gauge for a little while now but still don't know what to make of it.

I think I understand the basics like:
more fuel = cooler (to a point)
more timing = cooler (to a point, then BOOM)
more boost = less timing and higher EGT's

so lets say your EGT's are 600*F at idel, should they be the same under cruise if the ARF's are simmaler?

What concerns me is my EGT's are low at idel (550-600*F) and as high at cruise as they are under boost, like 900-1100*F

What is normal? Is it normal to see twice the ideling EGT's under cruise?
Should boosting EGT's be twice ideling EGT's?

And by boost, I'm only running like 8.5lbs.
I'm running a jacked up port/highcompression rotor combo so I don't know really what my timing should be.

1100F sounds cool for WOT under boost. 8psi from what?(what kind of turbo?) I would typically see 1700F under boost (10psi from a to4-r) pre turbo.

Cruising EGT sounds OK if not a touch low, I'm presuming this is POST turbo measurement?

But thats basically fine....

I'm useing a rediculously large turbo with a somewhat restrictive exhaust and a stock internal WG.

And at what temp does the turbo housing start to glow? If its dark outside you can see my turbo glowing at 900 or so *F, so maybe my sesor is set up wrong?

what kind of rediculously large turbo has an internal wastegate????? I thought about the biggest you could get is a GT30, and maybe some Holset turbos.

Cruising around at stoich, EGT's are in the 1400 degree range on the highway. Those are normally the highest EGT's that I get, although when I took it to the race track it exceeded 1600
