Question Downpipe or no?

Hey, I'm going to be getting a Bonez 2.5in downpipe for my '89 TII. I'll be leaving the rest of the exhuast stock, including the cats ( I have to for inspection ). Will adding just the downpipe give me a nice performance/response boost I'll be able to feel? I wish I could do more and someday I prolly will but for now it'll be just the dp...oh i also have an intake if that makes any diff.
Thanks, Alexi

I have an FD so I am generalizing here but, Any improved flow in the exhaust of a turbo car sould help out power. When I put my DP on it made a noticeable difference in spool-up, not huge but it was noticable. Another bonus is that it gets some heat out of the engine bay. I dont know if this is a problem with FC's like it is one the FD's but any little bit should help.

You should get a nice performance boost. If you add a midpipe you'll probably hit fuel cut.

Ya it should help enough to notice quite a bit. If you could get a high-flow cat it would help too.
