DLIDFIS and dead ignitors
Anyone try this set up and end up killing their ignitors? I've killed four just warming the car up then doing a 6000 rpm pull. They die during the sustained rev. Heat sink insufficient?

I have no problems with my ignitors and I use no heat sink compound, ignitors are bolted to small sheet of aluminum which is attached to the inner fender by 2 screws and about 1/2" of contact at the end. This is in Phoenix. I imagine things would have to be quite bad to actually overheat an ignitor.

The ignitors are under the clutch hose in the photo. Switched to a seven pin NOLOGY HiPo ignitor which is a dual pole set up such that I run a pair of wires from the lead reluctor to the new ignitor, and it triggirs BOTH coils. I'll get a photo of the final set-up tomorrow. Pulls hard to 8500 with 10lb of Boost and no ignition problems! I'm running Beru plugs that are side shot with a 55 gap.
Have found the Nology coils and wires the only set up that gives consistantly strong spark under boost and hi revs.
