Which Counterweights for S4 TII rotors in a S6 engine.
Which Counterweights for S4 TII rotors in a S6 engine.
I was told to use the S4 NA rear weight since the TII weight is casted into the flywheel. Would i still use the TII front which front would i use?
Thanks

I asume that it a great rule to follow. But in the case of the TII's counterweights casted into the flywheel, you would need another one to make it work with a lightened flywheel. I've been told the S4 NA will do the job. But then that makes me question which one to use up front.
use your original front. however, if im not mistaken, you should use a S5 rear, not s4, for a FD motor. these are only available from auto tranny cars, where they bolt on to the flexplate rather than being casted in like on the 5 spd.

All manual transmission rotary engine, counter weights are cast into the flywheel. If your using S4 rotors, you simply need to use ether a S4 flywheel and S4 front counterweight, or S4 auto counterweight/aftermarket flywheel combo with a S4 front counterweight. Turbo or N/A doesn't matter in your selection. Though you want to choose a flywheel that will work with your setup.

the whole rotating assembly needs to match. the reason you have counterweights is to balance the weight of the rotors, if you get the cw for the wrong weight rotors, you will have major vibration problems. as long as the weights you get are correct for the rotors you are using, you are ok with whatever combination.

To match your S4 rotors, you definitely need:
1. an S4 front counterweight
2. an S4 rear counterweight from a car with an auto tranny (that you will then attach to a light flywheel that has no built-in imbalance) -- alternately you could use an S4 flywheel, but you probably want something lighter so get the rear counterweight and attach it to a light flywheel

Correct, S6 rotors. The issue I've found now is that the needle bearings, thrust washers, etc are larger for the S6 setup. So they would fit my S6 front stantionary gear but not a S4 counter weight.
