yes sir, that was the Hennessey Twin T04E turbo'd venom 850. That car ran 9.9 on slicks by the way with stock air condition :)

I have stock air conditioning, but I'm missing my condenser, compressor, lines, and receiver/dryer.:p:

Yup, I don't need any A/C.

Ok, so sombody make a bolt in kit for a T-56 tranny that's resonably priced and I'll buy it...

The real question is that how many other people would buy it? If there is enough interest in a T56 tranny kit for the FD ill talk to a few people and see how much things are going to run.

It would be smart to calculate the gear ratios vs. powerband before you decide to dump a bunch of loot into a tranny ;)

T-56 (Stock tire hieght, 8500 rpm redline, 4.10 rear):
1st (2.66:1): 57 MPH
2nd (1.78:1): 86 MPH
3rd (1.3:1): 118 MPH
4th (1:1): 153 MPH

Problem I see with this tranny is it is designed for a much wider powerband than most 13Bs can produce. 5th and 6th are STRONG overdrives (.74, .50), which makes them virtually useless. 6th gear at redline would put you at 306 MPH . Great for gas mileage. I would MUCH prefer a supra transmission! Supras make power, true, but thier gearing is another reason they are so formidable. The ratios are awesome, and it has been tried and tested to over 1000rwhp, and 8500+rpm shifts. Develop a supra tranny kit for a reasonable price, I think people would buy it. Nice and close, 5th is 1:1, 6th is an OD but still useable.

Supra tranny (same as above):
1st (3.83:1): 40 MPH
2nd (2.36:1): 65 MPH
3rd (1.69:1): 91 MPH
4th (1.31:1): 117 MPH
5th (1:1): 153 MPH
6th (.79): 194 MPH

I personally wouldn't buy a T-56.

Other ratios are available as well. http://www.fortesparts.com/tremec/t56.html

Just got the new C&D, which has the Nissan 350Z. I wonder if it uses the sames tranny as the Supra?

1: 3.79 - 40mph
2: 2.32 - 66
3: 1.62 - 95
4: 1.27 - 121
5: 1.00 - 153
6: 0.79 - 194

Even better, if you shift from 1st to 2nd at 7500, you're still holding 4600.

The T56 actually looks good if you can find some deeper gears, like something in the high 4's range.

Of course, it depends on where you spend all your time! Heck I like the way the T56 with the 4.10's sounds, just lop off 5th and 6th gears (wouldn't use 'em anyway) and it'd be ideal for me.
