Certerforce Clutch
Certerforce Clutch
Will installing a centerforce dual friction clutch/pressureplate
result in a stiffer clutch pedal ? Should any of the hydraulics
(slave flex hose) be upgraded ? I have an 88 rx7 TURBO II.

I have a CFDF in my TII, and I swear that it is SOFTER than the stock clutch.
You may want to inspect the clutch release cylinder and hose, as everyone I know with 87-88 RX-7's (my two 88's included) has had these fail in the last year, so I think that they have just about reached their service life. If you have replaced these recently, then you should be fine. BTW, you can get a clutch release cylinder from the local generic auto parts store for about 1/4 the price of the Mazda cylinder.
Be sure to have someone competent install the CFDF clutch (or help you out if you are doing it yourself), as many RX-7 owners do not install these correctly, and the clutch fails prematurely.
