Buyer Beware: GMPartsdirect.com
I recently ordered a GM 3-bar MAP sensor and harness through gmpartsdirect.com (many aftermarket ECU's use it as the stock sensor only goes up to 16.7psi) and discovered after I had placed the order that I was charged for shipping/handling on EACH item. The price of S&H varied according to item cost, in other words, the more expensive the item, the more expensive S&H is. Strangely, the harness for the MAP sensor is larger than the sensor itself. Neither is larger than a pack of cigarettes. In their defense, they commented that they sell at 20% above advertised dealer cost and the S&H went to cover other business expenses such as the web or phone services. Isn't that what your 20% markup is for? To me, it's a simple bait and switch tactic. Advertise a low price and then "surcharge" the customer at the tail end to make up the cost (and hope the customer didn't notice). To top it all off, I checked with the local performance shop and their prices were lower. Buyer beware. Even though it's a small amount, it's the principle.

Yeah I've noticed that as well, I believe Max Cooper mentioned something about it as well in another thread. Surely there must be someplace that can get it for cheaper.
If we have Malloy, who do the Bowtie boys go to?
*Thanks for the heads up*

I purchaed my 3 bar from GMPartsdirect.com due to the local dealerships wanting to rape me, even with my GM dealer discount. I got the part in 4 days and it was still $15 under the "wholesale" quoted me.
As for the harness, I just hit the old "recycling" yard (U wrench it), and found 4 connectors, in ten minutes, on OBD2 Saturns and cost me all of $5 for all of them.
