Bosch 1600cc Injectors Part nr change

Ok, This might have been issued on here but want to inform you guys anyway.

I found the part nr of the Bosch 1600cc (1680) on here, which was 0 280 150 837

Now, my cousin works for Bosch Europe and I asked him to check their availability over here. He informed me the Part nr was changed to 0 280 150 842

Does anyone know if the design was changed (top/side feed)??

Thanks

Look in here:

https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/bosch-1680cc-160lb-injectors-part-numbers-scramble-489123/

They are all top feed, physically the same, varies only on their plastic body's color. And, maybe the Chrysler ones are faster reacting (search the forum for this last tidbit).

I have seen these on ebay recently. I ran across this post when I googled the number. I have a 1987 FC3S NA. What could I use these for? Would I need to turbo my 13B to use these? I'm asking because this is in the Rotary Perfromance section. Thanks guys, and nice rides

These would not suit your application very well. They are primarily used as an upgrade for those that need larger secondary injectors on cars that are running increased boost or larger aftermarket turbo upgrades. On your N/A set-up, these injectors would be way too large.

Oh I see now. I'd love to see the engines using these on a second rail and the turbo boosting it. Thanks for answering my question, most other boards would've been less hospitable and even less knowledgeable.
