Biggest blunder ever
Hi,
Ok i hope you guys remember me.. i am the guy who was soo frustrated with the 13b that i just wanted to burn it down... But as a final effort i gave my car to this tuner who has fixed it.. it runs very good now...
The problem is that the guy who did the rebuild.. i think made a blunder... he used one very mild ported side housing and the rest stock ports?
The guy who tuned it for me now (made it bearable to drive) increased the IGT and IGL by +18 on the powerfc and the car started taking boost and running great but had a knock reading of 100+ after each run...
So he advised i should install an HKS twin power ignition.. i did and the first run i took in the car i boosted around .8 bars with a max knock of 25 and it ran great... I thought my troubles were gone until i gave the car a very hard launch and it started hesitating at 5000rpms... now it does not boost more than .7 bars.. that too not as i want.. it misfires in between.. Have to set timing +18..
My tuner thinks that i have fouled a spark plug.. Can that be it cuz i ran fine for the first few runs? The max egt reading that i got was 850?

1600cc secondaries
fuel rail
apex-i Power fc
Greddy power extreme
midpipe
hks twin power

You mention he may have used a ported and stock side plates. Which plate do you think is stock and which are ported?
You said your tuner increased the IGT and IGL by +18 ! That doesn't sound right to me... Can you post your *.dat file showing your setup?
