MT ET Streets are great for drag racing but I would not use them for anything else. They have no tread to speak of and would be dangerous as hell on wet roads. They are bias ply and are worthless for twisties, but they really hook up for drag racing.

I have Nitto drag radials(275/40-17) they seem to work fine on the highways.

Have not been to the strip with them.

My guess is the MT ETs are better at the drag strip, but I would not want to drive them on the street.

MT ET Streets in 26 x 10.5 on your stock wheels.

Understand that they are really SINGLE PURPOSE tires: OK to drive to the drag strip, race, and drive back, but they are not really "street" tires. Just enough tread to be DOT legal. I would not use them for ANY other purpose. The car will not corner on them worth a damn.

However, for dragging they can't be beat. I also have a set of Nitto Drag radials and much prefer the ET streets for drag racing at the track.

If you are only going to buy one set of tires, ET streets ARE NOT the ones to buy. I have them mounted on extra wheels and only put them on for the strip.

Thanks Tcb100

I understand, MT e/t is not for me.
I want to buy one set only, but i want to buy the best for weekend drag an not dangerous for road.
Any proposition?

If you want to drive on the street, I'd go with Nittos.

I really don't know what to say about street tires. I have a set of Michelin Pilots. I bought them for unbelievable grip in the rain, but they ride hard. I don't track it so I really don't know how these tires compare for dry traction.

Frankly with PFS springs & sway bars and Bilstein shocks, my teeth get loose on bad roads so I am looking for a bit more compliance, something with softer sidewalls.

Here's another option.

Get good street tires, then another set of just the back tires for when you go to the strip.
