Whoa! You have a £200 13B and you are asking for other suggestions?

If you have any question about what motor to use, the answer is right in front of you. Going old skool rotary will probably be more fun anyway.

BTW Can you not get engines from wrecked bikes? In the states you can find onr with a couple thousand miles for <£1000 each.

Due to the amount of people after the hayabusa engines the price even for used ones is extortionate.

£3000 is for a good used one! you can find high milers or damaged ones for less but they are very rare.

Like you say £200 for a 13b is great so it's defiantly my choice right now. Unfortunately I cannot get it till April which means I cannot start tuning/modifying it till then

but, good things come to those who wait

That gives you time to make some important decisions, stand alone computer, intercooler, turbo, fuel requirements...

I cannot wait to build a 7 clone...

One other thought that may come into play is from what I've heard others say on this site the 20B sounds actually quite nice whereas the 13B certainly won't ever be confused for sounding italian.... fwiw.

easy yes, yes , yes and lots.

I build bespoke turbo installations so have plenty of experiance with turbo's as well as plenty of them as well as intercoolers.

I also build and re-program ecu's so it will most definatly have a custom ecu.

This sounds like it is going to be far too easy for you. Build me one too?

I'll take 13B street port, single turbo, IRS, close ratio 6 speed, compression/rebound adjustable shocks, Yokohama A032R, British racing green with yellow accents, carbon fiber nose, cycle fenders and hood vents. I should be in Reading/ London in April.

Just to save time weight and complexity - No windscreen, heat, windows, or ac. Target weight ~500kg.

BTW When you are dialing in the suspension, I am 11.5 stone.

Thanks,
KneeDragonR1

That's almost exactly what I'm building, but orange and black/carbon colour scheme. No windscreen/wipers or anything but I may stick a little heater in it just to get my feet warm

There has been allot of interest, if I wasn't so busy I would start taking orders.

still not to sure on the drive-train ATM i have been told that a 4 speed is more than adequate in most 7's. A guy i know has a 4 speed dog, 70mph in 1st !!.

ATM the chassis is IRS but depending on weight it may be better to go de-deion, we shall see
